tsunami that struck on December 26th has been
unparalleled in the loss of human life and the
devastation that it has brought to millions of
people.
|
Rebuilding
the lives of these people will be an effort that
will take years and billions of dollars.
It is an opportunity for the world to come together
and show what we can do as a people to help our
fellow man.

The Rev. Todd
Farnsworth, pastor of the Belchertown United Church of Christ,
notes that "even as Jesus did not limit his caring to
one local group of people, I believe that we have a mission
to bring God's caring to wherever there is need. Given the
hatred and bitterness currently vying for our attention in
the news, as people of faith we owe it to God to facilitate
more witnesses of hope in the world. By joining together as
a community, we can bring that hope to the people of South
Asia through the ongoing efforts of Habitat for Humanity International."
